What is commissioning and walk-test certification?

After install, engineers balance gain, verify no oscillation, confirm uplink noise is within carrier limits, and then walk the building on a measured grid recording signal levels. The output is a certified before/after report per floor — the document that proves the system performs as designed.

Why does it matter to me?

It is the only objective evidence you got what you paid for, and for public safety systems it is what the AHJ signs off on. It also becomes the baseline for any warranty claim or future building change.

Can you commission someone else's install?

Yes. We benchmark the installed system as-is and tell you plainly whether it meets design intent before any certification is filed.

This is the right scope if

How the scope actually runs.

We balance gain per band and per zone, verify there is no oscillation between donor and server antennas, confirm uplink power is within Part 20 limits, and tune the system against the original link budget rather than to a default profile.

Then we repeat the survey walk test. The result is an after heat map placed side by side with the before map, per-floor dBm improvements, and pass/fail against the coverage thresholds written into the scope.

That report is what your GC, tenant, insurer or AHJ actually wants to see — and it is the baseline every future service visit is measured against.
